elder responsibilities - Kat - 04-09-2014
In order to be eligible to be considered for elder you must do or be able to do the following
1. Contribute to the clan members by donating good troops to keep base castles strong. Minimum donation per season is 500 troops for promotion to elder and 250 over a season to maintain your elder status.
2. Be active in the clan. Participate in the chat and observe that conversations are appropriate.
3. Show the maturity needed to encourage younger clans how to build strength and experience
4. When recruiting, be sure to examine the profile of the potential new clanmate to see if they have a decent record of donations to battle win.
5. Do not arbitrarily accept new clan mates in. If you accept someone new, you need to mentor them for a short time to make sure they know what their expected to do.
6. Must serve as an elder for a minimum of 2 seasons before being allowed to accept new members.
7. Confer with leaders and co-leaders on promotions, demotions, and removal from ranks.
8. Be willing to serve a season in each feeder clan.
9. Be willing to redirect clan mates when they are not being appropriate.

This is great so far Kat.. lets dig into the profile stats a little. I like the "Friend in Need Stat" as a benchmark as well. Should we impose a baseline on any of these levels before entry/promotion?? Remember that we will have them in the feeder for a bit as well so we can impose certain criteria before entry into our main channel.
Id like to attempt feeder migration this weekend. We need some volunteers to get things rolling there for a season.. I will go for at least two days to get the ball rolling. More on this in a separate thread..

Yes I really do look at the friend in need status. It says a lot about how reciprocal a clanmate truly is. Like lord grundle and the computer problems he has had, he has not been able to be active so with reason, his status this season is light. But over the course of his existence he has had a ton of donations.
The donations need to be appropriate to the trophy status of the clanmate. I saw a gold level request the other day that only had about 1000 troops donated. It's possible that they are strictly trophy hunters but, it doesn't speak well for them if they got all that way without helping others rise too. Jennie and I donate way heavier than most, but we like to help and it makes us happy. DaveHeart, my son, doesn't donate as much but he hardly asks for troops. Plus his win ratio is excellent.
I would say that a bronze level request should be viewed as a minimum donation of 100 troops per season and maybe 500 over their career to be worthy of a feeder clan spot. Silver and gold level needs to be in the 500 to 1000 range of season donation and in the 3000 to 5000 range for career.

Those scales are great guidelines... Add them to your top post using EDIT.
Don't be shy folks.. this is an open discussion.. even if you are still working on Elder, your say and opinion here is valued. Are these requirements realistic? Do you have a lifestyle that makes meeting them difficult? Are these requirements still to lenient??
