If you use "The Google" to tap the wealth of archived coc base designs available on the net, you'll find a ton built around the focus of farming. Many however prove slightly outdated because recent clash updates have changed troop behaviors and the way in which they react to particular layouts. After a bit of homework and a ton of forum sifting, we've decided to feature 3 widely used designs now common among the top ranked players.

1.) The Black Mamba

2.) The RINGUS

3.) The Ruthless
[attachment=123]

All three embody fundamental components of solid farming design.

Snipe-able Town Hall : Placing your TH on the outskirts of your base canvas increases the odds of a quick attack from trophy hunters. This will usually buy you a 10-12 hour shield at minimal cost in both resources and trophies. Opening your doors to ALL attacking parties greatly reduces the all out assaults flung upon you from the nasties above on the COC food chain -- a far more costly scenario.

Minimized T-Joints: Avoid exposing T-Joints when designing your base. Wall-breakers are drawn to them and a successful assault will expose multiple compartments. As ground troops now have twice the room to play, the focus and effectiveness of your defensives are cut in half.

Funnels: Opening your walls with funneling paths is a great way to score maximum hits on giants and other ground troops before they start whacking at your walls. They will follow the path of least resistance so bait the end of the path with a defensive prize, garnishing the way with hidden bombs, traps and the occasional tesla. Keeping troops veering off into funnels will maximize the longevity of whatever you happen to be protecting in that juicy center.

Centralized Clan Castle: Always make sure your CC is as difficult to trigger as possible. Plant it close to the center and try to keep its range circle inside your outer walls. Mixing several low housing troops such as barbs and archers with a couple business minded wizards can be a great recipe. The lower level troops will always empty first, so attackers often think they have fully lured the contents but then get hit with a surprise second helping! This not only eats up a ton of time, but will often leave attackers helpless as they send clueless troops into the belly of the beast.

Be sure to check out the base designs section for more great farming designs posted by your fellow clansmen.

Till next time, happy farming and enjoy a fruitful harvest!
